Wow!

So, I looked at this and realized that it's been a YEAR since I last used this! Totally crazy, esp. since I love to write. I really need to make a habit of just going on here every week or so and posting whatever comes to mind.

Right now I'm excited that Easter is just around the corner. I can't believe how fast Lent has went by, but I've really been enjoying it. I even read a few books that were "religious" if you will and have been praying the Rosary every workday as I go into work. It has helped me to feel more calm on the roads and ready to start the work day...now if only I could keep that peace while at work. Right now I am dealing with some pretty stressful stuff, although it's nothing terrible, but it is slightly confusing too. Hopefully I can get it all worked out before the end of the day today.

Tonight I get to see my mom and sister and we are making "Bubba", which is a casserole of sorts. Basically it contains everything that is bad for you, kielbasa sausage, bacon, ham, egg, bread. Mixed all together in a pan and baked. Yummy, but sooo high in, well, everything!

I still can't wait to make it though, it totally takes me back.

Bubba is being in the kitchen with my mom and helping to mix it all together, mashing up the ingredients in the freezing cold bowl. The feel of the bread and egg and meats smashing up in my hands; it gave me such a feeling of accomplishment. It was sticky and slimy and clung to my fingers but felt sooo good as I squeezed and it went out between my fingers. The smell of the oven heating up the room on a chilly spring day and then the smell of the bread and meats permeating the room as it warms up. Sun shining on greening blades of grass and budding trees, with Easter baskets on the table, waiting for the Easter Bunny to put candy, a new Easter outfit, and fruit juice boxes in them. It's dyed eggs sitting on the counter, painted glorious shades of green, blue, pinky red, purple, yellow, and orange. It's family, home, tradition, and love. That's what Bubba means to me and why I'm so happy about doing this today.

You were born during a New moon

The moon is dark in this phase, because the half that's illuminated by the sun is facing away from Earth.

- what it says about you -

You want to leave an impression on people and make your mark on the world. When you love an idea, you'll work hard for it, sometimes even dropping whatever it is you're doing to go on to the next new great thing that's captured your imagination. The more freedom you have to chose what you're doing, the busier you'll be.

Your result for The Golden Compass Daemon Test...

Open Sensitive Soul

You are an open, emotional person and very sensitive to the things going on around you. You are empathetic and make an excellent listener, but you also like to share your thoughts, feelings, and opinions with the world. You are not particularly extroverted, preferring time at home with a group of friends than a busy and stressful night out among strangers and acquaintances.

You wear your heart on your sleeve, and probably become upset when someone tries to give you constructive criticism. Your loved ones tend to accidentally hurt your feelings with their insensitive, off-hand remarks, and then accuse you of being too sensitive.

You are open and honest, and you do not do well at hiding your feelings, even when you try. You prefer to get things out in the open and resolve them, rather than leaving them to fester. Other people might sometimes frustrate you by hiding their feelings, shrugging and saying "oh well" instead of standing up for themselves, like you try to do.

Your daemon's form would represent highly sensitive nature, your frank honesty, and your devotion to friends and family. He or she would stick close to you and whisper comfort and advice in your ear most of the time. When you or your loved ones needed defending, however, he or she would become as openly vocal as you, and help you in your protestations.

Suggested forms:
Songbird, Dove, Swan, Domestic cat, Border Collie.

How I Sound

Make a voice post with the following things so that your F-list can hear how you pronounce them (and laugh at you, of course):

- Your name and/or username
- Where you're from
- The words "roof", "aunt", "direction", and "naturally"
- Your favorite song
- Your favorite character
- A word in a different language>

Ok, I totally sound stupid, but, I did it. In the break room at work with my camera and then I uploaded it. So, it was done in one take and I probably should have practiced about 50 more times, but oh well, I'm at work and this is what I could do. Sorry my voice is like nails on a chalkboard!

Happy Birthday Deedee!!!

I'm so happy God has blessed me with a great friend and sister like you! Have a very Happy Birthday and God Bless!!

Love,
Sarah

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday "yayawr8t3r"! Hope you have a blessed day filled with lots of fun, happiness, family, and friends! Love ya sista! *hugs* *smishes* <3<3

I'm still thinking about "Swan Song"! I totally had trouble sleeping last night trying to puzzle out all the questions that the writer's left us with! I loved how they really set a different tone, with Chuck narrating. I think Chuck was "vessel-ed" by God at that point, he wasn't always God, but for this episode, at least, he was. Although I didn't think that until I saw him disappear at the end. It would totally make sense as to why he knew past, present, and future events. Plus, it makes sense. Chuck is like Kripke's voice on the show and Kripke, for all intents and purposes, is Supernaturals "God" because he created it all.

Then on to Bobby and Castiel. Wow, they stuck by Sam and Dean through it all and both were killed with such speed and ferocity that I never even did more then gasp. Like many others I've read, I was sooo concerned with Sam and Dean's plight that I didn't really spend much time processing that. I'm so glad that they lived...but they aren't really "living" the life they are supposed to be, at least, not any more, I think that as others have said it's so "not the norm" for these guys that they will get together again. I loved that Bobby could walk again and Cas got his mojo back. I'm sad that Dean just left Bobby for the duration of, I'm assuming, Sam's time away. It's left me curious as to where Bobby's soul is and if the deal was broken or not. Cas, I believe like others, is a higher angel now, perhaps an arch angel.

Dean and Sam. To see that knock down, drag out and Dean just was there for Sam. It's what brought Sam back from the edge, the love of his brother. The love of family. Which allowed him to sacrifice himself and hold Dean to a promise of a normal life. I know a lot of people found that odd, but I loved it. I thought it was great to see Dean with Lisa and, is it Ben?, the kid, anyway.

So, Dean's given up on hunting, I believe and it's going to be role reversal. Sam's going to come back for him for some help. But Sam is the biggest question of all. What IS he now? I doubt it's Lucifer still in him because they said they were wrapping that story line up. Did God/Chuck release him? If so, is he now angelic? Or did he somehow get out and is now demonic because of all the demon blood? Or is Sam something new, fully human but because of the demon blood it changed him in a dramatic and new fashion? Oh, the questions, the questions. That light popping out seemed like a signal that he was not entirely good, but that could be red herring too. And if Sam was saved...what does that mean for Adam? Will he show up again? And in what capacity? Will we learn about Micheal and Lucifer? Are they both dead or are they down in Hell fighting it out? I think that the new season is going to have a lot to work on and I, for one, am totally looking forward to it. I thought this was a stellar episode, one of the best written ever with the amazing juxtaposition of good and evil and the play on humanity caught in the middle (Micheal, Lucifer, and Dean as humanities ambassador). I think that is what God was looking for. His creatures and seeing how they would stand the test against each other. Sam found his humanity with Dean as Dean found his with Sam. Brilliant bookending of the series. I totally give credit to all the writers on the show for coming up with such an amazing season finale filled with answers to old questions and climaxing the storyline, while opening up a "Can of Worms" with tons more questions and new directions.

Plus, I liked Lisa. I thought the point was to have a start over with role reversal and you can't find another woman better then Lisa for that. Not to mention, it's NOT normal for Dean.

Frankly, each character ended up in such a NOT normal way, that is the point. They will have to find each other again to be who they are supposed to be...this is just Dean's brief reprieve from hunting and a time to heal before they all met up again and tackle the next issue

Just like its' Sam's turn in hell, which is not normal as he is a good person

And it's Cas's turn to be higher up angel, even though he values free will

And it's Bobby's turn to go back to hunting, even though he is ment to be the father figure to the boys

So, it's so normal, it's NOT normal...meaning something will happen to once again bring about the trio of hunters and an angel.

Writer's Block: Talk to the animals

What would you do if your pet dog or cat suddenly started to talk to you, but nobody else could hear it? Would you assume you'd gone mad or simply be happy for the company? Would you try to convince your friends and family or would you be satisfied keeping it to yourself?

I'd probably think I was going crazy, but as long as the cats weren't asking me to do something crazy or dangerous, I'd probably not tell anyone and just totally love having this rare opportunity to talk with my cats. Also, I totally love the sci-fi genre so I'm sure I'd revel a bit in my new "ability", lol. I would love to ask Frisket and Rusty how they are feeling, what a day is like for them, how they like mice vs. birds, why they sleep so much, and so on. Then, I'd probably ask them to do something, like scare my sister by sneaking behind her and jumping on her shoulders! :p
